    First Intel-powered smartphone

Intel said Lava International has launched the XOLO X900. The device will be launched April 23 in India and be sold through Croma, a big retail chain in India.

Intel´s move into the mobile market has been closely watched. The initial plan appears to go where the people are in emerging markets. That means India and China are going to be interesting test markets for Intel before it enters the crowded U.S. smartphone market.

Here some specs of the new XOLO X900

    *Intel’s Atom Z2460 1.6 GHz processor
    *HSPA+ and 3G
    *Android Gingerbread
    *5 hours of 3G browsing
    *45 hours of audio
    *8 hours talk time
